Consecration Mass of Thanksgiving in Pierre Part, Louisiana
Saturday, July 3, 2011 on the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the day after the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Joseph the Worker in Pierre Part, Louisiana celebrated a "Consecration" Mass in thanksgiving from being spared from flooding when the waters threatened the southern state of Louisiana this summer. The Mass was a huge success with participants from 26 cities around the state and a couple from out of state. Members of the Knights of Columbus participated in the Mass as well as the Pierre Part Fire Department. Our Lady of Guadalupe's relic image which was recently obtained for the Diocese of Baton Rouge by the Love of God Worldwide Mission was the guest of honor as she was processed at the beginning of Mass onto the altar and was placed there for the faithful to venerate after Mass.
Father Clarence Waguespack also led the congregation to a consecration of the parish and those that attended to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Father Waguespack stated,
"As in St. John's Gospel God tells us repeatedly that he loves us and he loves us in union with the Holy Spirit! So today we are asking that you dedicate yourself to God the Father, Jesus and to Mary. We remain in God's love always because we have the Holy Spirit with us, even while we are sleeping! We need to have the realization that God is with us always! "
Cheryl and Picolo Waguespack, parishoners and members of the Mission were responsible for helping Father Waguespack put the Mass together.

The Relic Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe Enthroned in New Orleans, LA by the Love God Worldwide Mission Group in August 2010 beginning with a rosary procession from St. Louis Cathedral to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (St. Jude Shrine)
Enthronement Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, New Orleans, La 8/28/10
Renew and Rebuild the City with Our Lady! As New Orleans celebrates the five year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the city has enjoyed a renewal and rebuilding of many buildings, homes and lives. It is reported that 80% of the city's population has been replaced. With a city filled with such a dichotomy of beliefs, there is a strong Catholic presence but also a strong occult presence with voodoo shops and tarot cards lining Jackson Square directly across the street from St. Louis Cathedral. There is also a "Decadence" presence with the Southern Decadence Parade, informally known as "Gay Mardi Gras", which has taken place traditionally several days prior to and leading into Labor Day. This parade has gone on for fourteen years bringing in the gay and lesbian crowds which match or exceed Mardi Gras crowds. The city also had a visit from President Obama at Xavier University, a Catholic university on Sunday but Bishop Aymond of New Orleans did not attend as he was never consulted by the university about the presidential visit. There still is a spirit of renewal and rebuilding for the city and the entire state of Louisiana after all the turmoil in the past several years with not only the recent hurricanes but with the oil spill in the gulf as well. Part of that renewal and rebuilding was done on Saturday, August, 28th which made history, and that was the "Enthronement of a relic, image of Our Lady of Guadalupe!" It is an exact image of Our Lady of Guadalupe that was touched to the true image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City in which there are only a couple dozen like it in the world. This image was brought in by a one of the largest and fastest growing Catholic Missions in the world, "For the Love of God World Wide." It began early Saturday morning at St. Louis Cathedral with a big Rosary procession in the pouring rain through the streets of the French Quarter to finally be enthroned at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in New Orleans by Rev. Anthony Rigoli, O.M.I., pastor of the Shrine and it will start touring Louisiana in October. Founder of "For the Love of God World Wide", John Rick Miller said that when John Paul II made his first, foreign trip as Pope to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1979 where the actual image resides he said, " A light will shine forth from "here", in "those times" meaning "these times" and it is through Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is the only "living image" of Our Lady handed down directly from heaven! Our Lady of Guadalupe was enthroned in a city where the hearts of so many good Catholics of not only the people of New Orleans but residents from the entire state of Louisiana were present at this historical "Enthronement!" These good Catholics are truly renewing and rebuilding their city and their state on the the solid rock of God and His Church with the help of their Heavenly Mother! by Tricia Parsons, Editor
The empress and protectress of the Americas. Pope John Paul II has called her and The Light of the New Evangelization. In
1979 Pope John Paul II made his first pilgrimage to Mexico and
consecrated his papacy to Our Lady of Guadalupe. In 1999, he made his
fourth pilgrimage there and consecrated the entire continent to her and
declared that the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother and Evangelizer
of America, be celebrated through- out the continent on December 12th. John
Paul II delivered a summary of the historic first All-American Bishops’
Synod at the Basilica
of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He proclaimed Our Lady of Guadalupe as the Mother of All America. “Now
is the time”, he said, “of the New Evangelization to lead the People of
God in America to cross the threshold of the third millennium with
renewed hope.” He entrusted to her, as the Star of the New
Evangelization, the “future path of the Church on the great continent of
America.” He referred to America in the singular to emphasize the call
to all Americans to unity and solidarity. As he looked at an image of
Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Holy Father said, “Now, as we prepare for
the Great Jubilee Year 2000, I ask her to visit as a pilgrim of faith
each and every diocese, parish and family in America. May she cross this
continent bringing it life, sweetness and hope! May she enliven and
protect the work of the New Evangelization!” The Church must pro- claim
the Gospel of Life and speak out with prophetic force against the
culture of death. This is our cry: life with dignity for all...The time
has come to banish once and for all from the Continent every attack
against life...As a matter of urgency, we must stir up a new springtime
of holiness on the Continent so that action and contemplation will go
hand in hand.”
image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico is the only place in the world
where she has appeared and she has left her image! She left this image
of herself for the people of ALL the Americas!! She must have wanted
to tell the people of the Americas that they are very special!! Christopher Columbus was said to have carried a replica a famous statue said to have been carved by St. Luke of Our Lady
of Guadalupe from Guadalupe, Spain. Columbus was considered by church
historians as kinda Marian Mystic. He and his crew sang the Hail Mary
every night. He named his main vessel the Santa Maria in honor of Our
Lady of Guadalupe and sailed under her banner he named one of the
islands he found "Guadeloupe" spelled slightly different. So she is truly the Patroness of the Americas!
In 1531 Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego in Mexico. The
Spanish had already defeated the Aztecs in Mexico and ended their ritual
human sacrifices, and a small group of Franciscan missionaries began to
evangelize the new world. There were complex tensions between the
missionaries and Spanish that complicated the missionaries’
(Monsignor Chavez & Tricia Parsons Lft at the 1st International Congress FLOGWW Mission, Mexico City)
Msgr. Chavez postulator of Juan Diego said, "God intervened through His own
Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe! To replace the Aztec practice of human
sacrifice that the Spaniards has suppressed, Mary brought the final
sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The
Aztecs had taken the heart and blood of human victims to feed the gods
of their religion,” “Now Holy Mary of Guadalupe was showing them the
real sacrifice in the blood of Jesus Christ. In the image of Guadalupe,
Mary is pregnant; in the center of the image is Jesus Christ in her
womb. She is saying you don’t kill victims to feed gods, but the Son of
God will give you his own flesh and blood in the Eucharist, to nourish
you with eternal life.” The Aztecs were sad and fatalistic after the
Spanish conquerors took away their altars of sacrifice and smashed their
temples. But Mary said that God wishes to dwell within them in the
Eucharist. “That is why she sent Juan Diego to the bishop to ask for a
house for God, a church,” Msgr. Chavez said. “She is asking for a place
for the priests and bishops to present the bread of Life to the
people.” In asking for a temple, he said, Mary is asking for the
establishment of a new civilization in the heart of the New World. “This
would be a civilization of love for all people,” he noted. “This
is still the time of the new civilization. We still need to build this
civilization in obedience to the request of the Mother of God.”
We need a massive conversion and the Culture of Death to cease more than ever today!! Our
Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego on Dec 9th 1531 in the midst
of the Protestant rebellion when King Henry broke from Rome but Our Lady
converted over 9 million to Catholicism and she can still do it
Love of God Worldwide Mission founder, John Rick Miller said "The
purpose of this Relic Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is for veneration,
to bring hope and faith that anything can happen if we ask God to
intercede through this image. We pray daily especially the rosary and
renew our personal covenant to God the Father.
How we renew our personal covenant with God is through our daily prayer of consecration to God the Father.
John Rick Miller, founder of FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WORLDWIDE MISSION, went to Colombia in 2007 and then returned in May, 2008. During this second trip, he spoke to the President of Colombia at that time, President Uribe, (whose presidency recently ended in the summer of 2010). After that conversation, “a look came over President Uribe,” and he said “he understood and would do everything in his power to assist.” He asked Mr. Miller to return in a week. Upon his return, Mr. Miller was led into a room where there was a statue of the Blessed Mother, a candle, a Cross, a television camera, priests, generals, and dignitaries. He was asked if he had a Rosary, which he did. President Uribe told him that they were going on NATIONAL TELEVISION to show his support for the Mission and that they would be praying the Rosary on television (which they did)! And each Wednesday afterward, the President prayed the Rosary on national television.
Eight weeks later, President Uribe went back on television with the Nuncio to Rome and consecrated himself and his family to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
A day or two later late at night, Mr. Miller heard a knock at his hotel door. There stood a five-star General, the head of all the armed forces in Columbia. The General said that he and others had known President Uribe for many years and had never seen such a ‘transformation’ in a person. They knew it was a result of whatever Mr. Miller had said to him and asked if he (Mr. Miller) could tell him (the General) what was said. After accommodating this request, “the ‘same look’ came over the General’s face and he said, “I will support this mission with everything in my power.” Several weeks later, the military throughout the country, (Army, Navy, and Marines) lay down their rifles, were issued a rosary, got down on their knees, and every man and woman consecrated themselves to the TWO HEARTS. (Note: In 2008, several hostages who had been held captive for six years were rescued without one shot being fired! The recitation of the Rosary was credited for this Miracle!)
Though Columbia’s constitution no longer allows for the country to be consecrated, individuals, families, parishes, businesses, and YES, even the police and military WERE CONSECRATED, FOR NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD!!
